Reproductive Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner | Founder
Dr. Valerie Revolus is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 12 years of nursing experience supporting individuals across the lifespan. She specializes in reproductive mental health and hormone-informed psychiatry, providing compassionate, evidence-based care for those navigating PMS and PMDD, pregnancy and postpartum mood disorders, perimenopause and menopause, and hormone-related emotional changes, including PCOS.
Dr. Revolus believes mental health care should honor the whole person mind, body, identity, culture, and lived experience. Her treatment style integrates psychotherapy, medication management when appropriate, education, and collaborative care to create individualized treatment plans that reflect each patient’s goals and story.
She is Certified in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International, a nationally recognized specialty credential that reflects advanced training in pregnancy and postpartum mood and anxiety disorders. Valerie is passionate about increasing awareness, reducing stigma, and ensuring that women and birthing people, especially those from historically marginalized communities, receive affirming and informed care during reproductive transitions. Valerie is also an LGBTQ+ affirming provider and creates an environment rooted in safety, dignity, and respect.
Dr. Revolus earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Chamberlain University in 2025. She previously completed her Master of Science in Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nursing at Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Long Island University, and her Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Informatics from Stony Brook University.
Her mission is simple and deeply felt:
to normalize mental health care, expand access to compassionate treatment, and help individuals reclaim connection, stability, and wholeness in their lives.
